THE WEATHER IS HERE WISH YOU WERE BEAUTIFUL

Will started school on the island and is playing soccer at the Anna Maria Community Center this fall. He seems a little tired and at game time though. Games are usually at 5 or 6 so he has had a full day and between school and karate he is one busy 5 yr old . He told me the other day that I was very lucky to have him as a son. I agree. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Thanksgiving and grateful Meghan and Jessica will also be joining you all that are making the trip. It is paradise down here, but we miss our family. We were going to have a bonfire to celebrate Uncle Tom's annual fire fest, but it is still in the 90's. This weekend is Bayfest so the season is starting and the snowbirds are coming down. I continue to lose weight and Sue is running every day. Heck I jogged the other day just to keep up with Will on his bike. I still hate running. Hopefully I will be down another 10 or 15 lbs by Thanksgiving. Sue is now a real estate agent at A Paradise Realty-- congratulations to her. Will is hanging out at work with Dad for a couple hours a few days a week ,while she does open houses. He has found a few friends on the Island and the other day I was walking on the beach and some lady said hello it's Will's dad. I know I need to post more but I just been busy, so Linda here are some pictures and to the rest of our families Hyatts and Carrolls we love you and miss you.

Sunday Evening

Will, Sue and I went to the beach this evening like alot of evenings. Will and I caught some shiners in our castnet and he fed them to the seagulls. Sue was the official photographer for the night. We swam until the sun went down and Will is getting stronger going under water and working that free style stroke. I wish Lynn was around to coach him. He had a great week at school, his favorite part is playtime. Will still goes to karate twice a week and was just awarded his gold belt. He had a huge smile on his face when he told me about it. Soccer starts friday night so I am taking off early to watch him at the Anna Maria Community Center. His teacher told Sue what great table manners he has ...... she just wanted to be sure we were talking about the same boy. The island has been getting some rain showers lately making for great puddles to jump in and Sue and Will are taking advantage of them. The summer is almost over Labor Day around the corner but the water is clear and warm, snook season starts in the morning and hopefully we can put some fish on the table with out going to my favorite fishing spot by the Coast Guard base.

SURF'S UP

Will is catching a few waves here on Anna Maria Island. Besides working on his tan daily he goes to karate on monday and thursdays. Sue and Will do the beach about every day and he loves the water and feeding the seagulls baitfish that we catch with a cast net in the gulf. Went fishing one sunday after church and Will landed the first flounder of the day ( you know the one eyed fish) It smacked Will in the face so he threw it back. He then decided it would help out with his Sierra Club membership if he released all the shrimp we were using for bait back into the water. It is slower paced down here alot of cooking on grill and playing Spongebob SORRY or card games like go fish. We just got back from a walk to the beach and down to the local park then back home about 4o minutes. He jogged the whole way. We usually do that about 2 times a week to get ice cream ,but he and Jessica cheated by driving to night.

Baking Apples !!!

Will made dessert last night. He mixed up some sugar, cinnamon, brown sugar, and pecans. Then he had Dad peel and core some apples. Then Will took some Brummel and Brown and coated the inside of the apples. Where is Granddads Land of Lakes when you need it. After that Will scooped the sugar mixture with pecans into the apples. He made sure there where equal pecans in each apple. Then we placed them in a dish to bake at 350 till done. After dinner which Sue whipped up--Grilled chicken with broccili and rice, we took some vanilla ice dream and scooped out over the apples and ate them all up. Tommy you can call for the recipe, hahahaha!

Trick or Treat

Will went Trick or Treating last night in the Ascot Place with Gavin ( Transformer), Ellie (Snow White), and Ava (Ladybug). We made the loop through the 'hood where Will Skywalker and Transformer Gavin knocked on doors and rang door bells yelling Trick or Treat. The first few houses they did not wait for candy until a nice lady asked them if they wanted some .The light bulb came on , they had figured it out and there was no keeping up with them now. Poor Ellie just could not keep up, but then she is just nice and sweet and Will and Gavin will be TP' ing yards in a couple of years. Will ran into Darth Vader and put all is jedi training to use( good coaching Sue). Well after the loop and full buckets of candy Skywalker went home to pizza and sprite. May the force be with you!
